Pentadactyl is a firefox extension for bringing Vi-like key-bindings to firefox, but with the emacs.penta plugin it can easily be transformed into an emacs-like key-binding extension.

Table of Contents

1 Colorscheme

I've once again entered that mindset where I want all my programs to look as though they're all part of the same thing, so I'm working on a naquadah theme for pentadactyl:

colorscheme naquadah

It's far from finished.

2 Plugins

I really only use one, but it is an important one.

loadplugins '\.(js|penta)$'

3 Group

Everything in here is located in the user group.

group user

4 Bookmark in org-mode

With this command I bookmark links in org-mode. I haven't completely got it set up right on the emacs side, but sending links to emacs works perfectly.

command bookmark open javascript:location.href='org-protocol://capture://b/'+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+'/'+encodeURIComponent(document.title)+'/'+encodeURIComponent(window.getSelection())

5 Other commands

Right now I don't have a lot of these, but they will be coming.

Search the Archlinux wiki for <args>.
command -nargs=* archwiki tabopen http://wiki.archlinux.org/?search=<args>

I haven't discovered how I can switch on many or no args yet.

6 Show hints in uppercase

highlight -a Hint text-transform: uppercase

7 Options

Just some options I've set up to make browsing even more pleasant.

Used when I press C-i to edit a text field with an external editor.
Show bottom scroll-bar, always show the command line, even when empty, always show the command line outside of the status line (for that extra emacs-y look) and show the statusbar.
Normally this would be 0123456789, but I've found that the homerow letters work much nicer than the numbers, these are the colemak homerow keys.
Don't show me the tab bar, ever.
Show the default, I guess?
When searching, I prefer DuckDuckGo over Google.
set editor=emacsclient
set guioptions=bcCs
set hintkeys=arstdhneio
set showtabline=never
set titlestring=''
set defsearch='duckduckgo'
